The closest airport to the cruise terminal is
Tampa International Airport (TPA). Located approximately 10 miles (18-20 minutes) from the
Port Tampa Bay, it services major US airlines including Southwest and JetBlue, as well as a few international airlines from Canada and Europe. There are also many
things to do if you are in the Tampa cruise port area both before and after a cruise.

Yellow Cab TECO Line Streetcar System
The
TECO Line Streetcar runs from Ybor City, where many
hotels with cruise packages are located to Downtown Tampa, along Channelside Drive, where the cruise terminals are located. The streetcars are FREE to ride, and operate every 15 minutes, starting at 7:00am Monday through Friday, and 8:30am on Saturday and Sunday. The streetcars are also wheelchair accessible, with a ramp at each station. The closest streetcar stop to Terminals 2 & 3 is Cumberland Avenue Station (stop #7), and then it's a quick 3 minute walk to the terminals. The closest streetcar stop to Terminal 6 is Publix Station (stop #5) or York Street Station (stop #6), and then it's a short walk to the entrance at Kennedy Blvd. Much like a public bus, the streetcars require a pull on the overhead cord in order to make a stop.
