Flying into Philadelphia for your cruise? Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is one of the most convenient cruise port airports on the East Coast, just 10 miles from the pier and 6 miles from the current NCL temporary check-in location.

Book NCL Airport Transfers First

For Spring 2026 sailings, Norwegian Cruise Line is offering airport transfers that take you directly from PHL to the Clarion Hotel check-in location in Essington. This is the easiest option if you are flying in on embarkation day. Book directly through NCL when booking your cruise.

If Flying in the Night Before

Flying in the evening before your cruise is a smart move — it gives you a buffer against flight delays and lets you start your vacation relaxed. The airport hotel corridor (Essington, PA / PHL area) has excellent options:

  • Clarion Hotel Philadelphia International Airport — The current NCL check-in hub itself. Flying in the night before and staying here means you are already at your embarkation check-in point on departure day.
  • Courtyard Philadelphia Airport — Reliable Marriott property with airport shuttle and easy highway access.
  • Aloft Philadelphia Airport — Modern, well-priced, with good transit connections.
  • Sheraton Philadelphia Airport Hotel — Full-service with a pool and restaurant — good if you want to relax the night before.

Flying Home After Your Cruise

On disembarkation day, guests with NCL airport transfers will be taken directly from the ship to PHL. For those without transfers, you will be shuttled to the Clarion Hotel first, then arrange your own transportation to the airport. PHL is about 6 miles from the temporary check-in/drop-off location — a short rideshare.
