About PhilaPort Cruise Terminal
Philadelphia's cruise terminal is the PhilaPort Cruise Terminal, located at 4 Atlantic Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19153 — near Philadelphia International Airport, along the Delaware River. The port has undergone significant investment to establish Philadelphia as a growing homeport on the East Coast, with Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Jewel returning cruising to the city in April 2026 for the first time in 15 years.
Norwegian Cruise Line is currently the primary cruise line operating from Philadelphia, with Norwegian Jewel sailing 7–9 day itineraries to Bermuda, with select sailings to Canada and New England, through October 2026.
Check-In & Embarkation
Complete online check-in through your MyNCL account between 21 and 3 days before sailing, and print your luggage tags before arrival. Keep medications, travel documents, and other essentials in your carry-on.
- Guests using NCL airport transfers are taken directly to the terminal.
- Guests arriving independently may proceed directly to the terminal for luggage drop-off and check-in.
- Please don't arrive before 9:30 AM — the terminal is not open earlier, and early arrivals may be asked to leave and return later.
- All guests pass through standard security screening before boarding.
Note: For the terminal's first sailings in spring/summer 2026, embarkation and disembarkation temporarily used the nearby Clarion Hotel as a staging point while the new terminal completed construction. That temporary process has since ended, and check-in/boarding now takes place directly at the PhilaPort Cruise Terminal.
Parking
There is no on-site parking at the terminal. Off-site parking is available at the Clarion Hotel Philadelphia International Airport (76 Industrial Highway, Essington, PA 19029) for $16 per day per vehicle, with a complimentary shuttle to and from the terminal. Pre-payment is recommended — call 610-521-9600 (9 AM–3 PM daily).
At the Pier
Norwegian Jewel docks at the PhilaPort Cruise Terminal on the Delaware River waterfront, 4 Atlantic Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19153. Wheelchair assistance is available at the terminal for guests who request it; guests are welcome to bring their own mobility aid.
Disembarkation
Disembarkation typically takes place between 7:00 AM and 9:30 AM. Guests who parked at the Clarion Hotel take the complimentary shuttle back to retrieve their vehicle. Guests with NCL airport transfers are directed to their transportation. For private pickup, use 4 Atlantic Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19153 as the address. Uber and Lyft may pick up directly from the terminal, but only after guests have fully disembarked, as vehicle staging space is limited.
