Shopping Near the Philadelphia Cruise Terminal

Philadelphia has a diverse shopping scene, from boutique Old City galleries to major retail corridors. Here is what is most convenient for cruise passengers in the waterfront area.

Near the Pier

Target at South Philadelphia — 1700 S. Columbus Blvd. Large-format Target close to the waterfront, great for stocking up on last-minute cruise items: sunscreen, over-the-counter medications, snacks, travel accessories, and toiletries. About 10 minutes from the pier.

Penn's Landing shops — The waterfront area has small gift shops and seasonal vendors, perfect for Philadelphia souvenirs.

Old City (Historic District)

Old City boutiques — The blocks around 2nd and 3rd Streets in Old City are lined with independent galleries, jewelry designers, and home goods shops. Philadelphia has a thriving local arts scene, and Old City is its retail heart.

The Bourse — 111 S. Independence Mall E. Historic building now housing local vendors and small retailers alongside its food hall — good for unique Philadelphia gifts.

Center City

Walnut Street — Philadelphia's prime retail corridor runs through Rittenhouse Square and features major brands alongside independent boutiques. About 15–20 minutes from the pier.

Reading Terminal Market — 12th and Arch St. Beyond food, the market has vendors selling Pennsylvania Dutch crafts, locally made goods, and Philadelphia memorabilia — excellent for gifts to bring home post-cruise.

Jefferson at Fashion District — 901 Market St. Large urban mall near Center City with major retailers and easy parking.
